sad, but Judy is right, makes you wonder who built that house/bouat and who loved it enough to keep it before it/they went into disrepair, xo LMA

Sadly, LMA, I would venture to say that whoever it is, is probably no longer with us…

Thanks, Jo. Everyone has been saying that…I actually have a half-written poem about the boat…

This is one of my favorite themes and you certainly did a nice job of capturing it. That house…wow! Makes one wonder who lived in it and why they abandoned it.
As for me, for this theme I would normally go after old abandoned farm houses and barns, but this time I decided to do something a little bit different. You’re welcome to come and see my take on the matter. 🙂

I love this challenge topic.
Your first photo reminds me of the old shell of a house I passed whenever I’d push my son’s stroller on the W&OD RR path in Fairfax Va. I always wondered what it was like there in the heyday of steam engines when the house was full of people and activity. Very different now that it’s a nature (and not train) track!

Thanks for commenting Karen.
Seeing these things does make us curious and thoughtful about the past. That’s why I love these types of things too. 🙂
